MISSION ACCOMPLISHED (almost)

well some of you may or may not know that for a few months now I have been trying to get my mother to read the book because I can't go see it with her at the theater until SHE DOES DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE MOVIE IS HARD TO UNDERSTAND UNLESS YOU'VE READ THE BOOK!

I DID IT!!

i made her listen to part of the first chapter of twilight on my I-pod on thanksgiving (yes i hav the first chap. on my i-pod. it was free, it was twi-related i couldnt resist). she said it sounded interesting and FINALLY AGREED TO READ IT!!

Review of Twilight Movie *SPOILERS*

*edit: this review was written as soon as I got home from seeing the movie. therefore, it consists mainly of fangirling. THEREFORE, certain things here are wrong. DON'T TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY.

I WAS going to make a video describing what I thought of the Twilight Movie (which I saw ON NOVEMBER 21ST!! AT 7:30 p.m.!!!!) but I decided to write about it instead. too lazy to edit.

SO this Friday I went with three of my friends to see Twilight. The friend who took us to her house before we went to the theater SAID she lived, and I quote, "like, two blocks away" but that was a lie and as a result walked ALMOST TEN BLOCKS to see the movie (all worth it in the end but still...) so of course we got there at 7:15!!!

When you're going to a movie that doesn't already have millions of obsessed dedicated fans, arriving at this time is fine. But this movie already had a large fan base and there were almost no seats left in the back and middle. We got seats about 4 or 5 seats from where the first row was. NOT a problem for me but for other people it was a bit annoying.

So yeah I sat through a bunch of trailers for other movies IMPATIENT and then IT started.
THE movie. What I've been waiting for for MONTHS.

IT WAS MADE OF AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!


The actors:

Michael Welch is GOING places, yes he is. His impression of Mike Newton was MUCH more interesting and funny than the book Mike was.

Anna Kendrick was AWESOME. She was insecure in the beginning (EXACTLY HOW JESSICA SHOULD BE). props to Melissa Rosenberg (the brilliant screenwriter) for the boob and dress jokes.

Justin Chon and Christian Serratos: Eric was funnier and liked him more than when he was in the book. he also gets his happy ending. (Angela LIKES him in the movie, while in the book has a thing for little Ben Cheney)

Taylor Lautner: JACOB IS GONNA BE FREAKIN AWESOME IN THE NEXT MOVIE (AND YES, SUMMIT ANOUNCED THAT THEY ARE MAKING NEW MOON THANKS TO THE AWESOME FANS WHO WENT TO SEE IT). while jacob was talking to bella during the prom and edward comes up, did you SEE the look he gave edward!!?? I SEE SOME DISLIKIN UP IN THERE!!!

BILLY FREAKIN AWESOME BURKE: PLAYED CHARLIE. I LIKED CHARLIE BEFORE IN THE BOOK BUT NOW I LOVE HIM. HE IS FREAKIN HILARIOUS (PEPPER SPRAY, THE SHOTGUN). you could really see the growth in his and bella's relationship. from the awkwardness of that first meeting in Forks to him holding Bella's hand on his shoulder when Charlie's good buddy Waylon Forge died (killed by James).

RACHELLE LAFEVRE: Victoria was the BOMB!!! OME! DID U SEE THE OPENING THEY LEFT AT THE END OF TWILIGHT WHERE SHE WATCHES EDWARD AND BELLA!!! HOLY CRAP!!!!

EDI GATHEGI: Laurent. said james was lethal and dangerous AND THEN JUST LEFT!! HE'S SO BAAAAADDDDD!

CAM GIGANDET: IM ALMOST SAD HE DIED!!!!!! DID U SEE HIS FACE WHEN HE MET THE CULLENS AND THE STARE- DOWN HE WAS DOING WITH EDWARD!!!! HECK YES JAMES!!! HECKK YES!!!!!!!!!

ASHLEY GREENE: OUR ALICE RIPPED JAMES'S HEAD OFF!!!! NEED I SAY MORE!?

NIKKI REED: WOOT! THAT'S ALL THERE IS.

KELLAN LUTZ AND JACKSON RATHBORNE: kellan, emmett: FUNNY ("does she even like italian" "her name is BELLA.") HURRY UP ECLIPSE!! jackson, jasper: QUIET JUST LIKE JASPER!!! DID U SEE HIS FACE WHEN HE MET BELLA? PRICELESS.)

elizabeth reaser: very motherly. excellent.
peter facinelli: clearly the leader. GO CARLISLE!!!
sarah clarke: renee ("ARE U BEING SAFE!?" LOL)

Kristen Stewart: THE PERFECT BELLA! DON'T U DARE DOUBT HER!! SHE WAS CLUMSY AND FUNNY (see how she sniffed her hair when edward was giving her looks during biology) SO HA!! TAKE THAT KRISTEN HATERS!!!

Robert Pattinson: let me just start by saying most people screamed/ squealed when rob came on (myself included. not ashamed.) but it was very quick so no dialogue was missed. ANYWAY, i never expected to laugh much with him but i did. his facial expressions were unintentionally funny and overdramatic (see: when bella walked into biology). people were laughing at things we shouldnt laugh at so i bet those people who never read the book were wondering- why are these psychos laughing at edward not being able to stop drinking bella's blood. how is this funny? its HORRIBLE and SAD!" it was his face people.

okay im getting off topic, rob portrayed edward the way he saw him- a guy who really hated himself. edward was serious for the most part but all in all ROB WAS FREAKING AWESOME AS EDWARD!!

other stuff:
the movie felt speeded up. it was as if i sat there for 5 minutes instead of 2 hours and watched this FREAKIN AWESOME MOVIE and then....it was over. it left me thirsting for more (I'M ONTO YOU SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT). but the good news is (this is official news not a rumor) summit is making new moon! so YAY!!!!!

love how there were hint-hints in the movie- victoria at the end and then when edward and bella were walking into the school after jacob showed up and edward was all "i left u alone for five minutes and the wolves descend" and bella laughed and i was all "she thinks hes joking"

special effects: when edward pulled bella on his back and ran up the hill- so fake. edward's sparkle was AWESOME. im so happy they didnt make it over the top. THANK U CATHERINE HARDWICKE!!!!!

i dont think people who havent read the book will understand the movie well. in the book you get the sense that bella and edward fell in love over the period of about 2 months. in the movie its like about 2 weeks. and no one will understand WHY she fell in love with him. hes the most serious character in the movie. THATS WHY I MUST HAVE MY MOTHER READ THE BOOK BE4 SHE SEES THE MOVIE

I give it an A- !!!!!!!!!

My Mood: Annoyed And Yet Ecstatic

THAT'S the reason for my mood.

so the official guide ( yes that is the cover *SQUEALS* ) was SUPPOSED to come out the end of october then it got pushed to november then end of december and now i have to wait until 2009 to reach FULL TWILIGHT ENLIGHTENMENT!!

the reason:

to put MORE AWESOME STUFF INSIDE!! YAY!!

THE COVER IS A PUZZLE LIKE I CAN FINALLY PUT TOGETHER ALL THE QUESTIONS IVE HAD ABOUT THIS SERIES!!!!!! SO PUZZLE IS COMPLETE!!!!

Miley Cyrus vs. Twilight?

For some reason the internet has decided to do something stupid again.

FILM.com has decided to publish an article about who will win at the box office the weekend of November 21st: Miley's new animation film Bolt about a dog who thinks he has powers and goes on a mission to save a girl named Penny (for synopsis click here: synopsis of bolt) or Twilight based on the #1 New York Times best- seller novel by Stephenie Meyer (for synopsis click here: synopsis of BEST MOVIE EVER ).

This article is dumb. We all know who's gonna win. Think about it:

Miley Cyrus- can act and sing but is dumb enough to do a nude photoshoot at the age of 16 (or 15, i forget) when she has little 8 yr olds looking up to her. plus when asked in an interview with Ryan Seacrest who she thought was hotter: Rob Pattinson from Twilight or her new 21 yr old model boyfriend? She replied with the dumbest answer ever- "What's Twilight?"  

SHE DOESNT KNOW WHAT TWILIGHT IS AND THEREFORE SHE DOESNT KNOW WHO ROB PATTINSON IS! WHICH MEANS SHE DOESNT KNOW WHO STEPHENIE MEYER IS!

I don't know how i ever was obsessed with this girl. 

The point is FILM.com asked a pretty obvious question. they came up with some pretty darn good reasons why Miley would lose this competition (i kind of wrote the reasons in my own words)-

1. You can't even see Miley.  

This film is animated. You can only hear Miley. Why anyone would WANT to see Miley is beyond me.  

2. ROB!!!

choose 1: seeing an animation movie or WATCHING ROB PATTINSON PLAY EDWARD CULLEN ON THE BIG SCREEN!  thought so.

3. Boys

There's fighting between James and Edward in Twilight. There's talking animals in Bolt. 

'Nuff said.

4. Do YOU see people dying to buy tickets already for Bolt? Or maybe people BEGGING their   local theatres to have midnight showings for Bolt?

The answer is NO. But in the case of Twilight the answer is of course YES!!
